Deep, authentic relationships are essential to experiencing a healthier, more purposeful life — but the only way to realize this is to show up in relationships as our fullest self, which begins by telling our stories more truly. In a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, I draw upon Bowen Family Systems Theory, attachment theory, and narrative theory to help people tell and understand their personal story, discover a fresh perspective, and practice practical applications to foster healthy and vibrant lives.

By reflecting on how relationship experiences influence us today, we can consciously begin to break unhelpful patterns, differentiate between roles we have played and our truest identity, embrace emotion with understanding and empathy, develop our thinking and define our values, and create the connections we want in life.
As a therapist, I specialize in anxiety, family of origin issues, church hurt/religious trauma, depression, and interpersonal issues. I love working with college students, teenagers, parent/teen relationships, young adults, and women of all ages. I am able to provide the integration of Christianity into the therapeutic process for interested clients.
About Me
I’ve seen the same few movies hundreds of times, but I’m always reading something new. It’s a mission of mine to perfect the homemade chocolate chip cookie. I prefer the mountains to the beach, hands down. Camping is a favorite pastime of mine, but when I can’t get away, I love bird watching in my own backyard. I’m from Texas, and I miss good Tex-Mex, but not the heat. I have been a social worker and a teacher, but counseling is what I believe is my calling. It’s my favorite to work with clients interested in the integration of psychology and theology. My husband and I have two dogs and a cat.
